A closer look at the thinking behind five hero actives, and why clarity matters when telling a product story.
Start with a clear idea
The Velune concept begins with five familiar names: ceramides, peptides, niacinamide, squalane, and glycerin. They form the centre of our imagined daily cream, giving the product story a small, memorable vocabulary. Each name appears in the design because it has a defined place in the concept.
A hero-active list is not the same thing as a complete formula. A manufactured cream would also require a properly developed base, a preservation system, and appropriate testing. We describe five hero actives to keep the fictional story clear, rather than pretending that five names alone make a finished product.
Names are only part of the story
An ingredient list is a useful way to start a conversation, but it does not capture every aspect of a product. Texture, compatibility, stability, and the full formulation all matter to the experience of a real cream. Our design explores how to make those conversations feel more approachable.
The ingredient section uses a quiet list alongside a close-up of cream. It gives each name space to be read, without surrounding it with a complicated interface or making it compete with another claim.
A thoughtful story makes room for clarity.

Leave room for honest questions
We wanted the site to invite curiosity. What is in the imagined jar? How is the ritual presented? Why does the packaging look the way it does? Those are questions a thoughtful brand should make easy to ask, rather than hide beneath decorative language.
That is also why the fictional nature of Velune is stated throughout the experience. No cream has been manufactured, and no clinical testing has been performed. The product is a design concept, with an ingredient story created to support it.
Clarity is a design choice
Information becomes more useful when it has a clear hierarchy. The ingredient name, its place in the story, and the broader product description should not all speak at the same volume. Our page gives each a distinct role, with type and spacing doing much of the work.
The principle extends beyond this fictional cream. A beautiful product story should leave a reader feeling that they understand more, not that they have simply seen more. For Velune, every ingredient has a place, and every part of the design helps explain it.
